battery storage
The Battery storage systems are a key part of the modern energy structure, they keep the electricity inside them and release it when needed. Battery storage has three main functions, load leveling (i.e. making sure that maximum demand does not exceed system design capabilities), peak shaving and backup power. Technological features include the use of advanced battery chemistries such as lithium-ion, which offers high energy density, long discharge times and low self-discharge rates. These systems are equipped with smart management software that optimizes performance and extends battery life. Battery storage is employed in a wide variety of fields- from residential to commercial units or even utility scale installations, enabling the connection of renewable sources for lighting--such as wind and solar--right back into the grid.
