alternative energy systems
An assortment of technologies for capturing renewable energy sources, alternative energy systems take shape in many different ways, such as solar, wind, geothermal and hydroelectric, and each is well worth investigating. These systems mainly aim to turn natural energy into electric power for people to use, meaning no need increasing reliance on fossil fuels or to make further contributions environmental degradation. Technological characteristics are different from one kind of system to another, but include photovoltaic cells, wind turbines, geothermal heat pumps and hydroelectric turbines. The scale of installation varies widely--from private homes with just a few kilowatts to large-scale industrial and agricultural projects like small power stations of some sort, for all different kinds of energy needs.
